May 19th 2023 Charke Swim News Letter

We have had some change in staff. Diarmuid is no longer with us. Unfortunately this means he won’t be finishing any of his report cards. If you are affected contact me and we can schedule a free evaluation to see what level you should be in. He was replaced with Glenn who had to leave suddenly due to illness. Sage is taking over that lesson block and will get her own classes starting in July. Any classes listed for Glenn or Diarmuid will be taught by Sage at this point. (I’m working on editing the site.)

On Thursday May 18, I had to cancel 5 classes. I am working to resolve that situation. Please bear with me. There are a lot of emails to get through. I am going to refund the two classes for the missing session and try to reschedule the three private lessons that were affected.

New May Swim Lessons

Halfway through May we've added classes based on demand and instructor availability below.

Staff Changes

Please be aware that we have parted ways with Instructor Diamuid. His classes were taken over by Glenn, who will also be parting with us shortly. I wish them both well and I have two more instructors waiting in the wings. Teaching is a difficult job. You are in the water and active for up to 4 hours every day. You have report cards to write. You are prone to getting illness. Sometimes it's cold. I'm proud of my instructors for what they do, and I respect when they have to bow out.
