Charkeswim registration will open in roughly 24 hours, at 8pm Tuesday July 26th 2022. Thank you everyone for your interest. While anyone visiting the page will be able to see these classes and register for them starting at 8pm, I won't be advertising the classes to anyone else until July 27th, if there are any spots remaining by then.
I will be offering 3 classes at the Nanaimo Aquatic Center
. Swim Basics, 6:30-7:00 AM, Monday to Friday August 2 to 12.
Swim Kids 4, 7:00-7:45 AM, Monday to Friday August 2 to 12.
Swim Kids 5 & 6, 7:45-8:30 AM, Monday to Friday August 2 to 12.
Swim Basics: This is a class for ADULTS and TEENS who have little or NO SWIMMING EXPERIENCE. It will be taught entirely in shallow water and will progress from learning how to go underwater, to floating, to gliding and ideally would end with front crawl and back crawl. Class size: 7
Swim Kids 4: To enter this class you must be able to swim 15 meters on your front and back without stopping and Tread Water for 20 seconds without stopping. This class is taught entirely in deep water (over your head). You should complete Swim Kids 3 prior to entry.

Swim Kids Level 5/6: To enter this class you must be able to swim 25 meters on your front and back without stopping and Tread Water for 45 seconds without stopping. This class is taught entirely in deep water (over your head). You should complete Swim Kids 4 prior to entry.
Class size: 8
BC Day: Monday Aug 1st is a holiday. There are no classes. As a result these classes are 9 sessions in length and the price is prorated for 9 sessions instead of 10.
Beban Park Pool: This pool is closed for all of August for annual maintenance so I won't be teaching there in August. Problems and Gremlins: I have a lot of experience with computers and I have tested the shopping cart twice but this is still a first time for me. If anything goes wrong please contact me. If I see any kind of problem I'll send out a newsletter and an explanation for how I'm going to try fix it. Hopefully nothing will go wrong and I'll see everyone who signs up on August 2nd 2022 for my first classes!
Cancellations: You can cancel up to 48 hours before the class. If there are cancellations I will post prorated lessons on the site - meaning you would pay only for the remaining days.
